Helpful Information
How page numbering works
The tool stamps sequential page numbers in the format "- N -" at the bottom-center of each page. Numbers are drawn directly onto the page content using standard PDF fonts for maximum compatibility. You can optionally choose a starting number, which is useful when numbering a section of a larger document.
Starting number option
If your PDF is part of a larger document (e.g., chapters 1-3 as a separate file), set the starting number to match the correct position in the overall document. For example, if this PDF starts at page 15 of the complete document, enter 15 as the starting number.
Compatibility
The numbered PDF is compatible with all PDF readers and printing systems. The page numbers are embedded as standard text on the page, so they appear consistently everywhere.
